Verification and Fair Use
This tool is free and runs on shared translation engines. To keep it available for everyone, we apply light abuse protection. Occasionally this means you are asked to complete a human verification, or translation is paused for a while.
Why you may be asked to verify
- Your network has sent many requests in a short time, or shares an address with heavy automated traffic.
- Your recent usage approached the fair-use allowance for the current hour or day.
- A request looked malformed or automated.
Completing the verification is normally all it takes to continue.
When translation is paused
If usage keeps exceeding the allowance, or verification is repeatedly triggered in a short period, translation is paused and the page shows the time after which you can continue. Nothing is lost: your files and settings stay in your browser, and the pause lifts by itself.
If this affected you by mistake
Shared networks (schools, offices, VPNs) can trigger these limits for people who did nothing wrong. If that happened to you, please report an issue and mention roughly when it happened, so we can tune the limits.
