MontageSubs is a nonprofit, open-source community. We are not the enemy of filmmakers — we are a bridge, dedicated to connecting audiences, translators, developers and filmmakers around the localization and democratization of moving-image work.

Mission & vision
We are building an open, transparent subtitle ecosystem in which anyone can take part in the creation and circulation of moving-image content. Good subtitling isn’t just translation — it’s the art of cross-cultural conversation, the medium that lets a film cross languages and time zones to reach more people.
